At Parcel2Ghana, every effort is taken to guarantee that your cargo arrives safely. We enforce straightforward packing criteria to limit the likelihood of unintentional shipping damage. All clients must adhere to these specifications.

The personal effects must be put in sturdy cardboard boxes, luggage, or sports bags. Plastic or used containers are prohibited.

Each package, bag, and suitcase cannot exceed 30 kg.

All packages must be sealed securely. Boxes must be sealed with packing tape along all holes. Cable ties should be used to seal bags and luggage.

Please put your full name and the address where you can pick up the items on each bag, box, or suitcase. We will also give you labels to put on the packages.

Your fully packed box shouldn't be more than 1.6m long, and the sum of its width and height shouldn't be more than 1.2m (i.e. when you add the width and height together they should not be more than 120cm). On all Express services, there is an extra charge for items longer than 120 cm.

Please keep in mind that our drivers can refuse to pick up your shipment or that your goods could be rejected and sent back from the collecting depot or sorting hub if they are not packed properly or if each package weighs more than 30kg. Before we pick up, Parcel2Ghana can give you the right packaging. Just add what you need when you book.

Aerosols, perfumes, nail polish, tobacco, and money are all things you can't send with Parcel2Ghana. Please look at the list of restricted items to see everything you can't send.

Volumetric Weight

How big your box is could affect how much it costs to ship. The "volumetric weight" of your shipment is a guess based on how big your boxes or suitcases are. Your chargeable weight is your actual weight or your volumetric weight, whichever is higher.

How do I calculate the volumetric weight?

To calculate the volumetric weight multiple the length x height x width and divide the total number by 6,000. If this figure is higher than the actual weight of the package, then your price will be based on the volumetric weight.
